| | procrastinated the run until late so i ended up on the treadmill. twas better than usual but still not the funnest of times. 8:15 ap and some fast paced jams #shiquera weights and abs after

| | i love going running in 3 degree weather. not. anyways chilly start then really just wanted to get home so i ended up getting consecetively faster each mile (8:06 ap) & ended with a 7:20. nothing crazy but it mixed it up a lil for me so that was good. s/o to the lady on the trail going at least 5 min pace. #inspiration

| | first speed workout back today :) it was 3 300's at goal indoor mile pace x3 with 45 seconds rest. i felt pretty good so maybe i should have gone faster but it was a good time. almost died every single lap but it's all good :) haha avg about a 65 for each. 7:30 ap including wu and cd

| | hey! medium mileage! haha we had a family trip up to salt lake right at 4 and we started late so i felt pretty hurried to get back... 8:18 ap plus a beautiful display of my makeup and by that I mean it was all over my face. ALL OVER. thanks to the snow for that one ;)

| | speed changes today! we went with the varsity gals which was a bit different so that was fun. :) the pickups were 2 min off 1 min on x8 at 2 mile pace. The first couple I went at 6:50 pace but I was feeling good so for the last few I pushed to stay with Kaylee, Mario and Bryn. finished up mileage at home.

| | Down in st George so it was much easier to get out and running in the morning. Haha I accidentally ended up on the st George half marathon route but I was there before the runners got there thank goodness. S/o to the construction guys who blocked off all the roads and offered me Gatorade. MVPs. It's really hilly down there though ha. 8:25 ap abs and pushups later

UHSTCA Ice Oval Indoor Meet (1 Miles) 00:06:08 | | Warmed up about an hour early. I was pretty nervous earlier in the day but thanks to some meditation and such i felt pretty relaxed and tried to get to know some girls in my heat. Just focused on running throughout the race. about halfway through i realized i wasn't even tired so I started to push it a little more... Last 200m someone yelled out a 5:30 and i still had lots of energy so i kicked it in to PR. cooled down outside and holy smokes i have never seen so many attractive males in my life. Almost made me happy to be running in the freezing cold. Hit up Artic Circle with Carolyn which was quite the experience #flirtyboys haha good times.

| | crazy day! nhs after school so after grabbing a donut i sped off on 2 miles (7:30 ap) before i had to go babysit. then i came home at 5:30 and tried to get the workout in before i taught violin at 6 and/or it got dark... i only got 2 sets in but at least i tried haha. the wo was 200 400 200 hill climbs at mile pace. i did it on center so my times were a little slower. probably averaged 56 for the 200 and 2:09 for the 400.

| | easy distance run today. the range was 7:45 to 8:45 & we averaged an 8:01. unfortunately my right calf was hurting which i guess i'll blame on the cold but other than that it felt alright. we headed towards highland which is always a fun time except Heidi almost got ran over and i almost jumped into 50 mph traffic to save her. 'twas terrifying to say the least but it made us go faster for sure haha. #staysafekids. planning on stretching out later. abs

| | speed today! it was 400m then 200m at mile pace with 6 sets. our first set was wayyy off but i was able to get consistently faster each time so i was happy with that. 95-80sec was my 400 range lol. s/o to rachel morgan cause she was killing it.

Distance Challenge (1 Miles) 00:06:13 | | distance challenge today! woke up feeling sick as anything (wahooooo-mostly just stomach stuff again....) 2 mile wu. not really expecting much idk. felt good while racing but got a lil tired/sick on the last lap. i think i paced it a little better though so that was a win :) cd with libby in the rain haha :)

| | 70 min saturday with carolyn! we were planning on doing the high bench and river trail loop at lamberts park buut there was a race going on up there so we ended up just going around on the main roads and down on ruin. good times. abs & hips

| | XC CAMP!!!!!! went up to jeremy ranch for an out & back trail run. perfect weather, gorgeous views. solid time with rachel. got a bit tired around mile 5 but stayed consistent so i was happy about that. 8:20 ap. lunch & games afterwards :)

| | traditional corner canyon trail run for the last day of camp!!! super slow 1st and last 2 miles (like 10:30 pace lol) but the in between miles were great! (around a 8:20 average) super great time with some freshmen boys haha gotta love the energy. s/o to rachel for saving me when i almost died tripping on a rock... haha. abs & hips |
| | recovery never felt so good. started out SLOW but negative split each mile to end with a 7:57. around mile 3 i thought my leg was making a weird cracking sound but it was actually just my shoe (phewph) unfortunately my leg/high ankle felt low key broken all day so that's not too good. iced and kneaded it out. could be ankle stability stuff? abs & hips

| | leg felt low key broken today. :( my high ankle was burning and shot pain with every step i took. what??? anyways iced a lot and took the day off & went mountain biking instead. climbed for a solid hour then went a little crazy on the way down.

Highland Invitational (2.9 Miles) 00:20:45 | | 1st race of senior year!!! super nervous but also super excited to run. mentally in the race but got a little too comfortable, too early, and settled in with a group i shouldn't have around mile 2. picked it up a little bit for the last .9 but still not totally the time i was hoping for. living and learning. super proud of everyone who raced!!!

Grass Relays (2.1 Miles) 00:13:57 | | grass relays!! 1st mile i stayed with a girl from riverton then 2nd mile fell off a little bit... looking back i could have stayed with her but i just gotta apply it to the moment.

| | awesome week day 1!!! my group did 5 600m birm run, 100m jog, 200m sprint. it was HOT as anything and i fell off my pace a little bit on #4 and #5 but i gave it my full effort so i was happy with it!

Preregion- Scera Park (2.8 Miles) 00:19:49 | | went out and felt really good 1st mile then psyched myself out for the 2nd mile worrying that i was going to die later.. smh. on the bright side the course was nice and flat and went by fast!

Murray Invitational (2.9 Miles) 00:20:22 | | good day! pretty much followed the same pattern as last year with a fast first mile and slower other two... i was happy with it though! runnercard said a 6:55 ap which is getting closer! s/o to the weather for cooperating and the cool outdoor gym we found. turns out murray park would be a good place to go if you were homeless.

| | not the best of days but tried to not let it get to me on the kicker! got 10:49 which wasn't quite a PR but consistent nonetheless- especially since i've been deathly ill for like 3 days... finished up mileage and my heel didn't hurt until mile 6 so i'd call that a win. running is good therapy. | |
| | peaked the cold. only went 6 because i felt awful til mile 4.5... went home & took a LONG nap and felt much better. smh @ my sleeping. abs |

BYU Autumn Classic (3.05 Miles) 00:20:15 | | such a good day!!! the eastbay course was really nice (and a little muddy) stayed calm throughout the race and i think it helped!

| | nhs then a solid wo on the track. 5 400's at 5k, 3 at 2 mile & 2 at mile pace. hit around 95's for 5k, 92's for 2 mile, and then 84? and 79 for mile.

Bob Firman Invitational (3.125 Miles) 00:20:48 | | I LOVE BOB FIRMAN. froze to death until we started but man oh man what a race! half a mile in i tripped somehow? & jamie got it on video lol so that's awesome... but it didn't really phase me and i caught right back up to bryn. held onto her until mile 2 then fell back a little but i was still super happy with my mental game, downhills and surges. cooled down on the most gorgeous trail with the girls. s/o to the dragonfly who liked my bow.

| | 6 min test! 1637 m and a new mile pr of 5:53 :)

| | started the wo early with carolyn to get to violin lessons on time. the xc ladder was 500m on pace, 400m jog, 400m on pace, etc... then two 100m at the end. hit consistent times throughout the whole wo and felt pretty tired by the end. still pretty sore from the 6 min test.

Springville: Red Devil Invite (3 Miles) 00:20:44 | | 3 miles before the race, 1 mile wu, race, and then a mile cd. really tired due to a crazy week which was reflected in my time but overall just happy to be racing and running with people i adore. senior year guys.

| | calf/ankle hurt all 6 miles- then proceeded to hurt the whole rest of the day. NOT ok. on the bright side i passed off the 5 min plank!

Region 8 Championships (3 Miles) 00:19:51 | | region!!! so proud of all of the girls. #doitfortheteam definitely a bittersweet day. last competitive team race for me which is so crazy. PRed my 3 mile by about 25 seconds but we didn't quite get to state. running has done so much good for me- so grateful for all the people and things it has brought into my life.

| | leg felt good through region (prayers work) but felt a little sketchy today. technically wasn't supposed to run at all but got in a few sunrise miles.

| | 1st time on jail trail! i have a feeling i'll be going up there more. calf/hamstring hurt so i took one mile off uphill and ran it on the trail. |
| | speed! 5 1000's at goal 5k then 3 400's at "current" mile. consistently got right around 4 min for the 1000 and then had a 86ish average for the 400's |

NXR Southwest Regionals (3.19 Miles) 00:20:07 | | WOW I LOVE XC!!! everything just sorta "clicked" and i gave it all i had. started out fast which got me a little worried i was going to die hard on the 3rd mile but i decided that i wasn't going to- so i didn't! held onto mario and sidney from westlake for most of the race and overall was just so happy to be there. :) i wish i had a little more left for my kick but you do what you gotta do!

Footlocker West Regional (3.1 Miles) 00:21:33, Place overall: 31 | | FOOTLOCKER!! started off fast for the loops, slowed down a little on the hills (just to enjoy them longer) haha, and maintained for the last mile. :) (still trying not to think about the fact that this was my last high school xc race.... ahhh)
