| | wahoo 6 again. s/o to danny for leaving the MTC. ran with emily through the dip then around in highland. good times. i probably should start paying to run with her cause she's pretty much my therapist... love her. killer orchestra concert later. + abs

| | hey speed! long time no see. the workout was 5 1000's @ goal pace for NXR with some speeding up/ kicking mixed in then 3 400's at last years mile pace then consecutively faster. i felt so sick all day so i was "super" excited to run but it wasn't actually that bad. ap for the 1000's was 6:43. so not slower or faster than what i wanted-just plain honest times. felt good after that mentally and was super motivated for the 400's. sport's psych is working miracles on me lol. kept the first 400 brutally honest (maybe a lil slow) with a 93... but last track season was... sickly. plus i had a lot more in me so i pushed it more on the last two. ended up getting an 87 then a 78 cause i felt like it- track is going to be better this year i already know. abs & hips with some pals after my cooldown. oh and the weather today was perfect so huge s/o to mother nature and her sympathy to us runners.

| | mostly ran by myself today... it was alright other than feeling sick to my stomach for the first 4 miles ha pretty sure something is wrong in there since i can't walk without feeling like i'm being stabbed. anyways ended up going on a pretty hilly route but it was fun to be down in "old lehi" again. someday i'll brave killer hill. maybe 😂 abs after. 2:30 plank ✅ | Add Comment |

prefootlocker (3.2 Miles) 00:23:36 | | welp. that happened lol. super tired from sadie's but also was feeling kinda sick- coldish plus stomach stuff that i talked about earlier. yuck. 1st mile was fine second mile i totally died off due to sickly feelings in my innards so ya. 3rd mile i sorta came back so that was good and i was proud of my kick mostly bc i didn't go that fast the rest of the race lol whatever. finished mileage then took a long nap- h8 being sick.

| | wow hills. we went to the trails in the dip then up in highland and all over kinda. very tired for no reason lol but hopefully will be well recovered for speed tm. 8:59 ap + abs and peer pressure got me to do 11 whole pushups so i guess that's good?

| | the workout was a ladder of speed. 200 @ 800m pace, 400 @ mile pace, 800 @ 2 mile pace, then 1 mile @ 5k pace then back down. mentally felt strong after a good talk in sports psych and i know i was consistent so that was good. the mile felt a little harder than i was hoping it would though.. eek. haha nice cool down after. s/o to spencer for almost running me over. abs.

| | good run with lil nug up into highland. kinda felt jolty but nothing too serious. i think we are going to hit up some old lehi roads on friday though so i'm stoked. 8:46 ap. my stomach felt a little better also so that was a plus. had to finish up mileage after violin lessons then did abs. 3 min plank

| | recovery so 9:04 ap. not fast but it was good cause i'm pretty sure i was deathly ill yesterday... lol. solid loop down by fox hollow then back up the forever long hill and around the stake rec. it was exactly 4 so that was awesome. abs

| | went running in the wee hours of the morning.... 5:30 to be exact. other than a little chilly it was a good time. very relaxing, and not even scary except for the freaky dog lol. s/o to carolyn for coming with me. she's a babe. also the nxr team dinner was fab. i'm SO EXCITED for this weekend. abs later (oh & probably add at least .5 cause... milo. what a kid. lol)

| | holy cow the course is so fun. after a movie in the morning we headed down to the course and ran it through then did premeet for the last 800m. premeet was way too fast for me cause my watch was off but i felt good so that was ok. quality nike dinner & abs after and then an ice bath back at the hotel. s/o to carolyn hahahaha her tiki dance is killer. also s/o to luke from westlake! it was way fun getting to know him on the bus :) | Add Comment |

Nike Cross Southwest Regionals (3.2 Miles) 00:21:59, Place overall: 243 | | ARIZONA IS MY FAVORITE. felt almost eerily calm the whole trip & knew i could perform well. for the past week or so i've been focusing on the number 21 which sounds weird (like seriously every time i see it idk #sportpsych) but i wanted to break 22 SO BAD. got a quality bib number 1592 (which rearranged was my goal haha) so i was pretty excited. ;) morning of i just trusted my training and didn't worry about the race until literally when i was on the line. s/o to the cute orem boys that let me cut in line for the bathroom... they're the real mvp's. anyways led the cheer then got out there. i could tell the first mile was a lil quick but i didn't want to freak myself out so i didn't look at my time. (6:39) second mile i did what jamie recommended and played the catching game which really worked for me. (6:56) after some gained confidence i tried to maintain and kept thinking positive things. it was such a mental race for me. last mile i hit a wall a little but i pushed through it and came up pretty consistently (7:09) the course was 3.2 so the last straightaway felt forever long but i did have somewhat of a kick so that was good. if i get the opportunity to come again next year, i want to have more of a kick. overall i got a 6:53 ap and felt like it was a major breakthrough for me. super proud of the jv girls they all did great. love this team. also i'm so grateful for all that jamie, gill and the other coaches do for us. they are awesome! | Add Comment |

| | turkey workout on the track. 400m then the last 100m you sprint to catch the "turkey." felt fine but didn't push the pace. hit 6:45 for our 5k ap pretty consistently. finishing up mileage after was so hard though. it was supposed to be low but with miscommunication we went medium and man i was feeling it. 15 min abs after with mario.

Eagle Mountain Annual Turkey Trot (3.66 Miles) 00:28:08 | | HAPPY THANKSGIVING. so thankful for so much. woke up feeling sick (stomach + dizziness) but went to the race anyways. bryn was a true pal and stayed with me for 2 miles or so. 7:25 ap for the race but i was dying. barely survived the cool down after so no abs for me.
